OBO 1985 Yamaha Maxim X in Los Angeles, CA

VERY RARE! The Maxim X is not your typical Japanese inline 4 boulevard cruiser. If you know this bike, you know it was Yamaha's answer to Honda's Magna, a straight-line beast. It's like a sport bike disguised as a cruiser. Unlike the standard Maxim/Seca family, the X uses Yamaha's 5-valve Genesis technology, borrowed from the FZ 750 & 1000 from that era. More closely related to the Fazer 700, and styled more like a younger brother to their V-Max, it borrowed parts from the Maxim 700, Seca 900, FJ600, and FZ750. The X is a 700cc, 5spd, shaft-driven screaming beauty. This one is unmodified, pulls hard, and well-loved. While cosmetically not perfect, she is a thing of beauty. Previous owner had the custom seat made with a gel insert and covered in Ferarri tan leather. New battery, tires, recent oil & radiator fluids replaced + new front brake caliper.
