DSP Residential House Manager(s) (Whittier in Los Angeles, CA

Summary of duties and responsibilities To manage the operation of a residence for developmentally disabled consumers.Our Goals-To ensure that residents receive a a stable, caring and secure care environment.-To provide a home-like setting, with a familial sense of acceptance and belonging.-To provide supports in interpersonal communication, issue solving, money management, personal hygiene, etc.-To provide nutritious meal plans and physical activities to facilitate personal health and well being.-To create access to the community through planned activities and leisure outings.Brief Position details 1.Insure the upkeep and maintenance of the residential home.2.Insure that the facility is managed according to state of California qualifications 3.Schedules and plans group activities, special occasions, outings and transportation.4.Documents related forms, files and review all incident reports.5.Attends managers meetings, staff meetings and conduct staff in-service training.6.Supervision of all assigned DSPs and on-duty employees.7.Train all new staff DSPs on facility protocol and procedures.8.Know individual consumers program and oversee their implementation.9.Oversee the practice of consistent behavior management principles.Min Qualifications1.Min of 2yrs background as a DSP2.Min of 6 mons related experience providing direct supervision of DSPs. 3.Have current CPR, 1st Aid, CPI, and DSP I Certificate.4.Complete 20 hours of in-house training and orientation -Facility Program Design-Consumer IPPs-Consumer Rights-Identifying and Reporting Abuse-IPPISP Implementation-Medication-Health and Emergency Procedures disabilities-Identify and Reporting SIRs5.TB, Health Screening and physically qualified to perform the assigned duties 6.Criminal Record Clearance 7.Valid California Drivers License and Automobile Insurance.If youre interested in applying, please contact the recruiter at [removed phone] or email your resume.
